href="http://sbcvoices.com/" target="_blank">SBC Voices) that I find very edifying as well as practical.

His new site is call Devotional Christian. I’ve made a link with badge to it in my sidebar in case you for get. On DC, Tony has put together a resource for some of the best online devotions. The devotions are in text for and there are even videos offered. DC shows the last three days worth of devotions. The devotions offered are from Adrian Rogers to Charles Spurgeon to Oswald Chambers to the Joshua Project. Check it out!

This new site gave me an idea to start a Prayer Page. You can find the link in the menu at the top next to home. I don’t know how well this will work, but I’m going to give it a shot.

Any feedback is appreciated. I’d love to know what you think.

Grace and peace,

Mark

Related posts:

Build a Better Blog Challenge day 1, the challenge is to briefly tell what the blog is about. And my answer to what this blog is about?

The theme is:

Christian theological insights on culture, religion & the latest news from a Southern Baptist for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I try to think through and reply to various issues from a Christian perspective with the Bible as my guide. In doing this I hope to bring my readers along with me and help them do the same. Together, we can sharpen and encourage each other for the Kingdom.

My motto is:

The question is not, “Am I good enough to be a Christian?” rather, the question is, “Am I good enough not to be?”

In other words, the only way to have a right and just relationship with God is through God the Son, Jesus Christ. The reason is that my life on its own merits is not worthy of a right relationship with God since I’m not perfect, but Jesus is. My life is not my own, but belongs to Jesus. As I continue to grow as a Christian I try to reply on this blog with the spirit of my motto in mind. I’ve not always done this very well, I admit it. This is why I must continue to keep Jesus in sight: Hebrews 12:2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.

As I move forward I hope to continue to show that the cross is the answer to all issues. The cross is the answer to our fallen condition, without it we are reduced to moralism. For example, I tried to show this in my recent post on Rick Warren. I’m not always successful at showing this so even if I don’t explicitly mention the cross that is the underlying premise.

Thanks to all the readers and commenters. Those who’ve commented help make me a better, and hopefully, more thoughtful blogger even when we disagree.

Mark

P.s. Tomorrow’s post will have a quote to help rejoice just what my life is all about.

Related posts:

<a
