Free Atlanta Area Worship Conference With Don Kistler

Thanks to the alert by fellow blogger Brian Thornton at Voice of the Sheep.  It is Brian’s church that is hosting this conference.  This looks like a great conference.  Its’ in my backyard and I plan on being there!

’09 RCC Winter Bible Conference: A Theology of Worship w/Dr. Don Kistler

FRIDAY – 2/6:
Registration & Check-In: 6:00PM – 7:00PM

Session #1: The Priority of Worship – 7:00PM (45 min to 1 hour)
– God’s worship is the ultimate priority for God, and it should be for us

break – 30 to 45 minutes (book/cd table time and dessert/coffee/fellowship time)

Session #2: The Purpose of Worship
– 8:30PM (45 min to 1 hour)
– Worship is to declare God’s worth to Him

SATURDAY – 2/7:
Session #3: The Prerequisite for Worship – 9:00AM (45 min to 1 hour)
– There can be no unconfessed sin or broken relationship if worship is to take place

break – 30 min or so (book/cd table time)

Session #4: Preparation for Worship – 10:30AM (45 min to 1 hour)
– If worship is that important, we must spend time preparing for it

Lunch Break – 11:30AM to 2:00PM

Session #5: The Propriety of Worship – 2:00PM (45 min to 1 hour)
– Worship is not casual because being in God’s presence in the public assembly is not a casual thing

break – 30 min or so

Session #6: The Passion to Worship – 3:30PM (45 min to 1 hour)
– When someone sees God for who He is, He will be obsessed with worshipping Him

Conference close/final word – Butch Rumble – 4:30 or 5:00PM

SUNDAY – 2/8:
Joint Sunday School time with all adult classes (including youth, singles, etc.) taught by Dr. Kistler – 9:30AM

Sermon during worship by Dr. Kistler – Service begins at 10:30AM
