60 Seconds?

Post image for 60 Seconds?

The one and only God who is holy and perfect, the creator of the universe, made us in His image to love, know and obey Him.We sin by disobeying and turning away from God. In simplest terms, we break the law of God in our hearts, minds and even physically making enemies with God. This condemns us to death and to eternal punishment.

In love, Jesus Christ, who is God, came to us as a man, lived a sinless life keeping God’s law perfectly, died on the cross for sinners like you and me taking the punishment of all who will turn to and trust in Him. He rose from death on the third day defeating death itself.

We as sinners are to have sorrow over our sins, turning away from them and turning to Jesus Christ in faith that He took the punishment for our sins on the cross. In this only can we have forgiveness and a right relationship with God. By the grace of God we are born-again into a new life, an eternal life with God. We are to love God with all of our heart, mind and soul living by His commands.

That’s good news!

You cannot command love, it must come natural, it must be earned. Trying to force love would be to lie to yourself. Why would god respect a liar?

It is my prayer that more people would understand and really grasp the relevance of this. The more I meditate and become enlightened with this, the more in awe I am of this God that we serve! Thank you for this post! Stay Blessed!

I agree with you, smturner. Although we inherited our fallen, mortal state because of Adam and Eve's transgression, we ALL fall short of the glory of God. How? Through sin and transgression. I will not be punished for anyone else's sins - not even Adam's. I will be punished for my own sins, unless I repent and take upon me the name of Jesus Christ through baptism and the Holy Ghost. I recognize that I am a sinner and I need Christ or I cannot be saved. But He won't force me to accept Him. He has left it up to me. And I am thankful that our God is merciful enough to allow us the freedom to choose Him. He has told us how we accept His blood: faith, repentance, and baptism.

Shelly,

Please read your Bible more, you are preaching against repentance. Baptism is the first fruits of repentence, so it is necessary if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior. Jesus Christ atoned for both Adam and Eve's sins (they both knew not to eat from the tree), but he will not help you if you do not repent and ask forgiveness. True we are Sinners, and once we have taken upon us the blood of Christ all of our sins have been atoned for, but if we are unrepentant I promise you we will all be judged by those sins.

You can lose salvation the Bible tells you you can. There are 2 ways that I am aware of, denying the Holy Spirit, and taking the mark of the beast.

I will provide the scriptural reference later, its past my bedtime.

In Christ,
Shaun

We are condemned to death, hell, and eternity away from God because of ADAMS sin!!! We are born in sin and are reconcilled to God through the finished work of the cross. We must believe it, recieve it in our hearts, and trust it as the only way to heaven. Once we are sealed with the holy Spirit of promise (born again) then and only then are we even able to live a life pleasing to God. The doctrines of our salvation are found in the writings of Paul, our apostle. Yes, we all sin, we all willingly sin, but OUR sin isn't what condemns us. We can't do anything to gain salvation, therefore we can't do anyting to lose it. Christ paid it all!!! Follow Paul, as he follows Christ. Christ spoke through Moses and he speaks to us today, in this age of Grace through Paul. The gospel of the Grace of God. Ephesians, check it out!!!! Trust Christ and what he did on the cross for your salvation! He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again so we can have eternal life. What a gift:) Just trust it................
