Lord’s Day Reflections: Marriage

church wedding

Since we are in Savannah most of this week and all weekend visiting friends and relatives I thought this might be appropriate to reflect on. Above is the little church were my wife and I married. It’s in a beautiful location on the coast of Savannah on Moon River. We were blessed with how everything including location, cost and setting up came together. There were some special people present. Those who’ve helped me both theologically and personally and been there for me through various issues.

The number one person who was there though now sleeps next to me every night. She is my wife. She is the greatest blessing God has given me aside from my faith in His Son. My wife surely is a great servant of the Lord and is very much selfless in the all she does for the family. I couldn’t have asked for a better spouse. God sure knows how to match us, doesn’t He? I am thankful that I have a wife who looks to me for spiritual leadership and I hope God gives me the strength that I don’t fail her.

And now because God’s word never gets old and neither does my love for my wife.

Proverbs 31:10-12
An excellent wife, who can find?
For her worth is far above jewels.
The heart of her husband trusts in her,
And he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.

I praise God for her.
