Below is a quick email I sent to Kelly Powers of http://www.afcministry.com/ due to his recent interest in Calvinism and the positive acceptance of being called a young Dave Hunt. First I sent him a link to an open letter I wrote to him then jotted down a few more things. Anyways, below is the email I sent him on Sunday, December 19, 2004.
First, I have a few questions for you and an assessment of your situation with Dr. White at Doubles Standards Mr. Powers.
You said in one of your broadcasts that “since Calvinists claim to be Calvinists and they come from John Calvin…” and I ask who claims that? Are you familiar with Augustine, Gottschalk, Council of Orange, Synod of Dordt or the Remonstrance? Do you know how the five points of Calvinism originated? Calvinists don’t come from John Calvin. Read the history.
Also, have you looked at any critiques of Dave Hunts research? I recently requested information about some claims in his 2ed of What Love Is This? The response I got back was 21 sources pulled directly off this link http://www.ynca.com/Mini%20Studies/hebrewAramaic.htm and these people deny the Trinity.

I am sure you know that even non-Calvinists tried to correct Dave Hunt while he was putting out his 1st edition.
On final note about tradition. Paul speaks of traditions in 2 Thess. 2:15. Everyone has a tradition of some sort.
