The Timesonline has reported that Churches back plan to unite under Pope. It looks as though this path may be offered as a solution to the liberalism that plagues the Anglican church.
The Anglicans will attempt to resolve their differences today by publishing a new Anglican Covenant, an attempt to provide a doctrinal statement under which they can unite.
So some in the Anglican leadership are willing to forgo their stance on the canon, salvation, justification, Supererogation, purgatory, etc. as less important than uniting over the ordination of homosexuals and women? This doesn’t add up for me. I am no prophet, but I predict that if this is pushed through it will just cause another split. And rightfully so.

Anglicans uniting under the Pope is most unlikely. Mostly the uniting bit, I have to say.

Thanks, Ric.
I really want to see how this plays out now.

Ric. You prove my point. As a former Anglican I know that these dreams of unity are nothing more.
