Conclusion
White begins by quoting Surah 17:35 which speaks of measuring and weighing with even scales. His goal with this book was to honor Christ by “weighing with even scales” in his examination of the Qur’an. He humbly offers, “We confess our own weakness, and if in any way we have been unfair, we confess that we have fallen short.” (Kindle Locations 3692-3693).
He then challenges readers on how to think about the issues covered in the book. For example, thinking about the Qur’an in its seventh-century Arabian context. Or, Christians appreciating Islam’s monotheism while challenging the Muslim to understand Christians are also monotheists.
White gives both the Christian reader and the Muslim reader points to consider from each others perspective. He pushing for dialogue in which each party may be more sensitive to the other while seeking truth.
One More Word to Our Muslim Readers
This final section contains three paragraphs. White leaves the Muslim reader with a few pointed challenges that were laid out in depth in the book. Christians love truth as much as Muslims and cannot let fear detract from proclaiming the truth that Jesus is God. He explains that when applying the Qur’an’s own standards from Surah 5:47, for example, the Qur’an fails its own tests.
The last paragraph makes a plea to Muslims to read the Scriptures, consider Christ’s claims, and believe the gospel.
It is our prayer, and the prayer of every believing follower of Jesus Christ, that by God’s grace and mercy, you will see the light of the glory of Jesus Christ, and in seeing Him, will find forgiveness and eternal life. (Kindle Locations 3740-3742).
