Noah: Official Movie Trailer

The official movie trailer for Noah has been released. Noah stars Russell Crowe, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson. It will be in theaters March 28th, 2014.

The synopsis: After visions of an apocalyptic deluge, Noah, the world’s only righteous man, is chosen to undertake a divine mission to build a massive ark to save his family and all of creation before the impending rains fall and the flood waters rise.

Looks like a fantastic production with top rated actors. However, I am sure many of us will be watching closely for biblical accuracy. Whenever Hollywood makes a biblical movie like this I often wonder what the unbelieving cast thinks about God while shooting the movie. Does it make them think about the afterlife at all? Do they ever think about Jesus?

A quick online search turned up some interesting religious facts about most of the stars of Noah. I could not find anything substantial about Jennifer Connelly concerning God, faith or Christianity. However, Anthony Hopkins believes in some concept of God – that everything is god. In 2007, Russell Crowe said he wanted to be baptized. And good for Emma Watson who apparently does not like Hollywood’s idea of sexy. Watson has also been involved in Christian charity projects and, in the U.K., was voted most datable female Christian and best Christian role model.

I wonder if some Christians will try to use this film to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What do you think? Will you see the movie?
