Obamanians: Thought I’d Seen It All

I’m driving home with my family this past Saturday. We’re a few miles from home and in astonishment, I say, “Did you see it?! Do you all see it?!” I was pointing to the car just in front of us and to the right.  My wife and daughter didn’t see it and were asking, “What?!” in a frustrated tone since I was so stirred up about what I was showing them. So I speed up, passed a car to come along side the vehicle I was pointing at. So just what did I see? I saw the most unbelievable license plate which I have recreated below.

Yes, that’s right! Someone actually went out of there way to see if this plate was available and then paid extra to get it. I really don’t know what to say. Just unbelievable.

Funny thing.  This goes right along with what I heard last week.  I turned the Dennis Prager show on which I hardly ever listen to.  Dennis Prager had Ward Connerly on talking about ending preferences based on race, gender, etc.  (Listen here)  Right around the 28 minute mark a caller named Thraser is put on.  He talks about how Connerly is wrong and references the white racism and pathology his father-in-law encountered as a black man.

Thrasher then goes on to say how Connerly wants the racial preferences to continue while Obama wants to end these types of practices.  This is certainly an important issue to work out, but that’s not what stunned me while listening.  What got me was the manner in which Thrasher spoke of Obama.  You can hear him through some crosstalk as he accuses Connerly of promoting race based propaganda.  He says that the solution to Connerly’s propaganda is that, “We have Obama now.”  There was just something about the way “We have Obama now.” was said that got to me.  It’s as if there really is a messiah complex towards Obama for some (many?) folks.

I wonder if there is anything that some people think Obama can’t accomplish?  Or, if there is anything these folks thing Obama won’t be able to accomplish?  Maybe the Obama campaign could have taken a hint from the Heroes slogan “Save the cheerleader, save the world” and adopted “Elect Obama, save the world.”  (Should that be world minus unborn babies?)  Obama sure has some large expectations to meet.  I hope Christians will be not only watching, but praying also.  Praying for all of us!

I don’t even know what else to say…

“It is God’s will that Obama be president.”

I used this in Sunday School to draw a distinction between God’s preceptive will and His decretive will to a largely non-reformed class who had never considered such things.

Thank you God for providing.

Grace and Peace….

That plate is sinful! 😉 How can someone reduce a man’s name to an ornament!

Did I tell you that my new plate on order says “Ronnie” and my wife’s says “RonDelDon?”

Nothing says “Repent and turn to Me!” like God putting an ungodly, unqualified, racially-motivated, Socialist radical like Barack Obama at the helm of a welfare-state-entrapped nation like ours.

Also, nothing stirs up the quiet, apathetic masses like that as well. May we not waste the opportunity to witness unto Christ to our fellow discontents who want to see real hope and change grip this nation.
