Merry Christmas: An Unknown Workman

Christmas is a great reminder of God’s Gift to us of His Son, Jesus Christ. This time of year also reminds us of what we do with God’s Gift – believe in Him for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. God transforms us by His grace through our faith, but that is just the first step into our new life. We are to continue walking by faith. Furthermore, Scripture commands we do all things for God’s glory. So, why not use Christmas to consider for Whom you are living and working? Are you doing all things for the praise …keep reading »

Preach Us a Sermon

Preach us a sermon, Preacher, But don’t preach very long; Just tell the story of Christ’s love, But don’t condemn the wrong. Say not a thing of doctrines false, Lest others be offended. Thankful Poem

Thankful Lord, I am thankful for so many things. You gave me new life of which my soul now sings. I am closer to going home with each breath. On my final day – eternal life through your death. Walking with God

Jesus saves us from ourselves, our sin and His wrath.  He does this inspite of ourselves.  Think on this as you worship with your brothers and sisters on the Lord’s Day.  Love Jesus, love your church family.  Think about where you were or where you would be if it weren’t for Jesus.  Go. Worship together. Be fed by His grace.  And don’t forget this on Monday. WALKING WITH GOD.—Genesis v.24. by William Cowper(1731-1800) Oh! for a closer walk with God, A calm and heavenly frame; A light to shine upon the road That leads me to the Lamb!

Giving Thanks

I saw death as inevitable, A hopeless situation. Laboring for self in this life, This was my salvation. Grabbing hold of my sin, Oh, how it was glorious. Accepting my flesh, How I felt so victorious. One day without warrant, My vision re-arranged. God’s perfect Law came, My reflection was changed. My victory was over, As I clearly saw. How black my heart was, Against …keep reading »
