Free eBook – Still Not Professionals: Ten Pleas for Today’s Pastor

In my review of Brothers, We Are Not Professionals: A Plea to Pastors for Radical Ministry by John Piper, I recommended that all church members read this book. My thoughts are that church members might be better members if they better understand the “what” and “why” of their pastor’s struggles and temptations. Reading this book should greatly help church members understand the pastoral role. Members would better realize not only why, but how different decisions are made within the church by the pastor(s). Thabiti On the Gospel and Witnessing, Secrets and Tricks

Desiring God 2010 National Conference Thabiti Anyabwile’s topic was Thinking for the Sake of Global Faithfulness: Confronting Islam with the Mind of Christ. Of all the good words Thabiti shared one thing stood out as a great reminder for all Christians. Although he was speaking about witnessing to Muslims, any type of person or group may be easily substituted and Thabiti’s words applied.
