Upcoming Book Review And Project

I have a few book reviews on the way.  The next one up is not the typical book I would read.  The book is The Noticer: Sometimes, All A Person Needs Is A Little Perspective By best selling author, Andy Andrews.  I received my review copy from Thomas Nelson last week and will be releasing the review on April 27.  I wanted to try something different and review a book like this that I wouldn’t normally pick up.  Here’s part of the book’s description from Thomas Nelson’s site.

Fortunately, when things look the darkest – a mysterious man named Jones has a miraculous way of showing up. An elderly man with white hair, of indiscriminate age and race, wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt and leather flip flops carrying a battered old suitcase, Jones is a unique soul. Communicating what he calls “a little perspective,” Jones explains that he has been given a gift of noticing things that others miss. “Your time on this earth is a gift to be used wisely,” he says. “Don’t squander your words or your thoughts. Consider even the simplest action you take, for your lives matter beyond measure…and they matter forever.”

There is another item that goes along with this book.  It’s called The Noticer Project.  This project is to encourage people to notice the five most influential people in your life.  Then, you will write on the project website and send a personal note to them.  You can even write this out on your blog as Thomas Nelson CEO Michael Hyatt has done in his post The Noticer Project: The Five People Who Have Had the Greatest Influence on Me.  Thinking of my five people has been tough for me.  I have always had trouble picking “favorites” of any kind.  I’ll keep thinking about it though.

For what it’s worth…

p.s. If you post to The Noticer Project either on thier site or your own blog please let me know.  I’d love to read everyone express their gratitude for others.
